Our experienced graphic design team work closely with our clients throughout the design process which enables us to produce a customized logo that fits your specifications.

Acceptable data formats for Laser Cutting.

Should you wish to send your drawings in CAD form, these are some of your options.
DXF files are preferred – these load directly into the control software and reduce the programming time significantly meaning faster turn round.

The preferred option for formed parts and assemblies are:

Adobe Illustrator files and its exports
CorelDraw files and its exports
IGES and STEP files
Drawings can also be accepted in Adobe PDF format.

We can convert many different file types, the above are preferred but we are not limited to these only. If you have an unusual data format, please contact cad@logojewelry.co.uk to establish compatibility.

You will receive artwork via email to approve before we start the production of your logo!

Design Considerations
A hole cut with a laser has an entry diameter minimally larger than the exit diameter, creating a slightly tapered hole.

The minimum internal radius for slot corners is 0.2mm. Unlike stamping, the normal design rules regarding minimum wall thickness, minimum hole size (as a percentage of material thickness) do not apply. The minimum hole sizes can be as low as 20% of material thickness, with a minimum of 0.25mm for up to 1.9mm material. Burrs are virtually eliminated and are insignificant when compared to those produced by shearing or blanking.

The designs below were designed for RedBull, and are to illustrate our design skills and the correct colour format for the laser cutting / laser etching process. Black is cut all the way through the metal, acrylic or wood material, is is used for detail that you require to be surface etched / recessed and white is used for the detail that you require to be raised from the surface!
